| Day 1 Sun.
LONDON-BRUSSELS, BELGIUM. Leave in the early morning
from your London joining hotel (see your travel documents)
and head through the lush English countryside to the Channel
port, where you board your ferry for the Continent. Here
your Tour Director and comfortable coach wait to take you to
Brussels for overnight. |
| Day 2 Mon. BRUSSELS-BLACK
FOREST AREA, GERMANY. Brussels, the modern center of
the European Union, still has old-world charm. Enjoy the
sights, including the Grand’ Place and the Mannekin Pis,
on your morning city orientation. Later, travel south via
Heidelberg for a stop, then through the delightful scenery
of the Black Forest for overnight. |
| Day 3 Tue. BLACK
FOREST-LAKE TITISEE-RHINE FALLS-LIECHTENSTEIN-LAKE LUCERNE,
SWITZERLAND. Today’s itinerary is studded with quite
a few highlights. Travel into the heart of the Black Forest
for a stop to admire the small but lovely Lake Titisee.
Further south into Switzerland to see the mighty Rhine
Falls. Next, eastwards into the tiny but hugely wealthy
principality of Liechtenstein for a stop in its capital,
Vaduz. By evening you’ll be in the Lake Lucerne area for
overnight. |
| Day 4 Wed. LUCERNE.
Your sightseeing takes in the impressive city walls, a
covered wooden bridge, ornate patrician houses lining
cobblestone streets, and the Lion Monument. Don’t miss the
boat trip on the fjord-like lake. A grand selection of
optional activities completes the day: a cable car ride to
the 10,000-foot summit of Mount Titlis, a typical folklore
evening, and, of course, time to shop for that very Swiss
watch. |
| Day 5 Thu. LAKE
LUCERNE-INTERLAKEN-LAUSANNE. Start the day by driving
over the scenic Brünig Pass to Brienz and its sparkling
lake. After some sightseeing in beautiful Interlaken,
continue to Gruyère, where you stop a while. On to Lake
Geneva for a guided visit of Chillon Castle right on its
shores. Overnight in Lausanne. |
| Day 6 Fri.
LAUSANNE-PARIS, FRANCE. Travel through Burgundy to
pretty Beaune. Then on the expressway northwards to Paris.
Tonight’s optional cabaret show is a must. |
| Day 7 Sat. PARIS.
Included sightseeing with a local expert of many of the
best-known Parisian sights: La Sorbonne, Arc de Triomphe,
Opéra, Madeleine, the Eiffel Tower, the Pyramid near the
Louvre, the Invalides, and Champs Elysées. Optional
excursions are also available to the Palace and Gardens of
Versailles and, to celebrate the success of your tour, a
French farewell dinner might be just the ticket. |
| Day 8 Sun. PARIS-LONDON,
ENGLAND. Relax and let the countryside whiz by on the
road north to the coast, where you board your Channel ferry.
Through Kent return to London for an evening arrival.

| Day 1 Sat.
LONDON-BRUSSELS, BELGIUM. Leave in the early morning
from your London joining hotel (see your travel documents)
and head through the lush English countryside to the Channel
port, where you board your ferry for the Continent. Here the
coach waits to whisk you to Brussels. |
| Day 2 Sun. BRUSSELS-THE
HAGUE, HOLLAND-AMSTERDAM AREA. The modern capital of
the European Union isn’t without its old-world charm. The
medieval Grand’ Place with its 15th-century Gothic Town Hall
and historic guild houses is a perfect setting for today’s
flower sellers. St. Michael’s Cathedral, the Law Courts, the
ornate Royal Palace, and the earthy Mannekin Pis fountain
contrast with the curving glass European Union headquarters
and 1958’s, Atomium. Sightseeing is optional. In the
afternoon drive to The Hague for an orientation tour, and
then on to the Amsterdam area. |
| Day 3 Mon. AMSTERDAM
AREA-THE RHINELAND, GERMANY. A morning to enjoy
Amsterdam, delightful city of a thousand bridges. Your
included excursion will take in a visit to a diamond
factory, city sightseeing and a canal cruise. This will give
you lasting knowledge of Holland’s best-known and largest
city. Later travel southwards into the lovely landscape of
the Rhine where you overnight. |
| Day 4 Tue. RHINE
CRUISE-LAKE LUCERNE, SWITZERLAND. Start the day with
an included Rhine steamer cruise with some legendary sights,
including the Lorelei Rock. Rejoin the coach for a
comfortable drive southwards to the Swiss border at Basle.
The scenery becomes more and more fascinating as you
approach Lake Lucerne for overnight. |
| Day 5 Wed. LUCERNE.
One of Switzerland’s finest cities nestled amid its
snow-capped Alps, surrounded by its lake, and embellished by
the clear mountain waters of the River Reuss. Your
sightseeing takes in the impressive city walls, a covered
wooden bridge, ornate patrician houses lining cobblestone
streets, and the Lion Monument—a masterful stone sculpture
in honor of the heroic Swiss Guard of Louis XVI. A grand
selection of optional activities completes the day: a cable
car ride to the 10,000-foot summit of the Mount Titlis, a
cruise on the fjord-like lake, and, of course, there is time
to shop for that very Swiss watch. |
| Day 6 Thu. LAKE
LUCERNE-PARIS, FRANCE. Enjoy vistas of green pastures
and attractive chalets with rustic timbering and luxuriant
flowers. Then into France on the fast and comfortable
highway, past some of its most famous vineyards to Paris.
Arrive in time to enjoy the optional cabaret show. |

One full day to explore the city that’s known throughout the
world for its fashions, art and museums, delicious food, and
joie de vivre. Included sightseeing with a local expert of

AREA-ROMANTIC ROAD-INNSBRUCK, AUSTRIA. The “Romantic
Road” is undoubtedly today’s highlight. See picturesque
Rothenburg before heading towards Innsbruck for overnight.

INNSBRUCK-BRENNER PASSVENICE AREA, ITALY. Journey
south into Italy by way of the majestic “Europa Bridge” and
the Brenner Pass. Arrive in Venice where the included tour
with Local Guide starts with a boat ride along the Giudecca
Canal to Piazza San Marco, followed by most of the city’s
highlights. Also visit a typical Venetian glassblowing
factory. |
| Day 5 Fri. VENICE
AREA-LAKE LUCERNE, SWITZERLAND. Stop in Verona to see
the legendary balcony of Juliet. Over the Swiss border begin
the climb to the St. Gotthard tunnel and descend to the
breathtaking beauty of Lake Lucerne. |
| Day 6 Sat. LAKE
LUCERNE-DOLE, FRANCE. Your sightseeing this morning
focuses on the main highlights of the city. Also time for an
optional excursion to the Stanserhorn. In the afternoon
journey into France for overnight in the charming town of
Dole. |
| Day 7 Sun. DOLE-PARIS.
This morning leave Dole and travel via the autoroute
to Paris, for an afternoon’s included sightseeing with a
local expert, to see many of the best-known Parisian sights.
