Sun. ANCHORAGE.
Journey down the beautiful Turnagain Arm where the mountains
rise out of the sea. Keep an eye out for Dall sheep, bald
eagles, and beluga whales. Travel into the Chugach National
Forest and board your boat for a cruise to the face of Portage
Glacier. A National Forest Service interpreter will be on
board to explain the wonder of the glaciers. This afternoon
and evening are free in Anchorage for independent activities,
such as walking on the Coastal Trail, shopping downtown,
visiting the art museum and the Alaska Native Heritage Center,
or taking a float plane ride over a glacier. |

ANCHORAGE–FAIRBANKS. Travel northeast through Palmer in
the Matanuska Valley, a lush farming region where cabbages can
grow to weigh more than 70 pounds in the 24-hour daylight. Up
over scenic Tahnita Pass with spectacular vistas of Matanuska
Glacier. Travel along Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and
Preserve, the largest park in the United States, and the
Trans-Alaskan Pipeline, which runs 800 miles from Prudhoe Bay
to Valdez. The area boasts glaciers larger than the island of
Manhattan and is home to nine of the 16 highest peaks in North
America. Along the way, see spectacular scenery, visit a
rustic Alaska roadhouse, and hear tales of Alaska long ago.

Day 4
Tue. FAIRBANKS.
This morning, take the included cruise down the Chena and
Tanana Rivers aboard the sternwheeler riverboat Discovery III.
Stop at a re created Athabascan Indian village and learn about
their historical way of life in Alaska. Afternoon and evening
at leisure in Fairbanks, or you have the option to fly above
the Arctic Circle and visit a modern day rural village to
experience life in the bush of Alaska.
ARCTIC CIRCLE ADVENTURE
Guided tour (fly to and from the Arctic Circle); a wilderness
community; Arctic Circle Adventure Certificate; salmon bake.
Fly north through the rugged Brooks Mountain Range, crossing
the Arctic Circle, to the amazing arctic tundra. Here, visit a
wilderness community and learn about the way of life in this
rural area. Return to Fairbanks by air where you will be
awarded an official Arctic Circle Adventure Certificate. You
will also experience a traditional salmon bake at Pioneer Park

NATIONAL PARK. Breakfast this morning is on board the
world famous Alaska Railroad. Ride on the rails from Fairbanks
to DENALI NATIONAL PARK. The afternoon and evening are free in
Denali for independent activities such as a walk in the park,
attending one of the free national park programs, whitewater
rafting, Mt. McKinley flightseeing, helicopter landing on the
glacier, or the Denali Dinner Theatre. |

Thu. DENALI NATIONAL
PARK. A free day in Denali National Park. Your Tour
Director will recommend an array of optional activities
including river rafting, helicopter or fixed-wing flightseeing,
and hiking. |

DENALI–ANCHORAGE. Journey south this morning and stop
at the IDITAROD DOGSLED VISITOR CENTER to learn more about
this epic race. Continue on into Anchorage where the tour ends

TO NIAGARA FALLS. Skirt the shores of Lake Ontario to

thundering falls. Sightseeing also includes the beautiful
Floral Clock. See Toronto’s major landmarks on today’s city
tour, including the banking district, City Hall, the CN Tower,
the University of Toronto, and ultra-modern SkyDome stadium.
This evening, enjoy an optional outing to the top of the CN
Tower for a delicious dinner and spectacular views.

Leave Ontario’s capital and visit Kingston, a city with
an interesting history dating back more than 300 years. We
continue to quaint Gananoque and the lovely St. Lawrence
Islands National Park, where you’ll enjoy an included SCENIC
CRUISE along the St. Lawrence River, past wooded islands with
their beautiful summer homes. Drive along the St. Lawrence
Islands Parkway with splendid vistas of the St. Lawrence
River. Then, we head to Ottawa, Canada’s beautiful capital.

Tue. OTTAWA.
This morning, enjoy a sightseeing tour of this lovely city,
situated pleasantly on the banks of the Ottawa River and the
Rideau Canal. See the Canadian Mint; the embassy district;
stately Parliament Hill; and Rideau Falls, named for the
curtain-like appearance they give the river. Also visit the
Royal Canadian Mounted Police stables, a living tribute to
Canadian heritage and history. Suggestions for this afternoon
include a visit to the magnificent Canadian Museum of
Civilization or the array of restaurants and shops at the
lively Byward Market. |

Wed. OTTAWA–QUEBEC
CITY. Drive into the French-Canadian province of
Quebec, where there is a sudden change in language and
tradition. Follow the King’s Highway, tracing this historical
route along the north shore of the mighty St. Lawrence River.
Late afternoon arrival in historic Quebec City, the heart of
French Canada and a World Heritage Site. Tonight, join our
optional outing to an old-world French restaurant with time
afterward to stroll through historic Old Town and view the
Chateau Frontenac at night. |

Thu. QUEBEC CITY.
Tour Canada’s only walled city, crowned by the great
turrets of the Chateau Frontenac. Until the British victory of
1759, Old Quebec was the center of New France and is one of
the best-preserved cities in North America. Within the walls
reside the Place d’Armes; the Laval Seminary; the star-plan
Citadelle, with grand vistas from its bastions; and ancient
Place Royale. Also see the stone houses crowding the narrow
streets of Lower Town by the St. Lawrence River. The afternoon

valleys and rich mountain forests to Lake Okanagan. Travel

Thu. KELOWNA–KICKING
HORSE PASS–BANFF. Motor north through the Okanagan

for photos of the impressively rugged mountains, glaciers,

Sat. BANFF–LAKE
LOUISE–COLUMBIA ICEFIELD–JASPER. A day of scenic
grandeur. First to Lake Louise, its cold turquiose waters
a perfect natural mirror reflecting the surrounding
mountains and glaciers. Precipitous gorges, snowcapped
summits, and lakes of exquisite blues and greens come into
view as the coach scales two mountain passes on the
journey northward into JASPER NATIONAL PARK. Another
highlight on today’s agenda is a stop at the COLUMBIA
ICEFIELD for a snowcoach ride on the 1,000-foot-thick
Athabasca Glacier. Late this afternoon, your Tour Director
suggests an optional raft trip down the Athabasca River.

ROBSON–SUN PEAKS. Leave Jasper and follow the
Fraser River to the base of Mount Robson, the highest
mountain in the Canadian Rockies, peaking at 12,972 feet.
Continue following the Yellowhead Highway south along the
Thompson River—a route pioneered by fur trappers a century
ago. Overnight at the mountain resort of Sun Peaks. |

Tue. SUN PEAKS–LILLOET–WHISTLER.
Head south following the once treacherous Cariboo
Wagon Trail. Via Lilloet—”mile 0 of the gold rush
route”—your coach will follow the shores of Seton and
Duffey Lakes with a mid-afternoon arrival in Whistler.
There are plenty of optional activities to choose from,
such as flightseeing by floatplane over the lakes and
glaciated peaks of Garibaldi Provincial Park. Tonight,
wander the many alpine trails or relax in the plaza

WHISTLER–FERRY CROSSING–VICTORIA. Motor along the

Bell, and other sites within Independence National
Historic Park. Afterward, head to Baltimore, nicknamed
“Charm City.” Time to explore this port city at your

the famous Rat Pack; reclusive Howard Hughes, who lived
for years at the Desert Inn; see the spot of the original

desert and arrive in the “oasis” resort of Palm Springs.

history of the area and insider information. You’ll see
the homes of Frank Sinatra, Liberace, Dean Martin, Bob
Hope, and many more, and your guide will entertain you
with an array of fascinating stories of stars past and
present. In the evening, perhaps take the Palm Springs
Aerial Tram up into the San Jacinto Mountains for

SPRINGS–LOS ANGELES. Journey across the Colorado
Desert and arrive in “Tinseltown.” First stop is at the
KODAK THEATER, where an included tour takes you behind the

join the fun as part of a LIVE STUDIO AUDIENCE. See what
happens behind the scenes during the filming of a TV show
such as Joey, That ‘70s Show, King of
Queens, and Two and a Half Men. This is a

studio time with network stars.

also see former estates of such legends as Marilyn Monroe,
Lucille Ball, Judy Garland, and Humphrey Bogart. Pass by
the well-known Playboy Mansion, cruise Sunset Strip, and
drive along the famed Rodeo Drive. Afterward, enjoy more
classic sights, including the Hollywood Sign; wander the
Walk of Fame; and learn more about the footprints outside
Mann’s Chinese Theatre. This afternoon, enter the world of
real movie making at the world’s largest working movie
studio, UNIVERSAL STUDIOS®. Go behind-the-scenes onto the
back lot, and catch an inside glimpse of films currently
in production. See the sets of Stephen Spielberg’s War

Perhaps visit the Hollywood History Museum, located in the
Old Max Factor Building, where you will find a wide

Spend some time exploring an architectural jewel—The
Bradbury Building that was the location for the Harrison
Ford movie, Blade Runner and The Usual Suspects,
starring Kevin Spacey. Or travel to Santa Monica and visit
the famous Santa Monica Pier. Dip a toe in the ocean, walk
the boardwalk, and make sure to ride on the historic
carousel, built in 1916 and used in the Paul Newman and
Robert Redford movie, The Sting. |

ANGELES–SAN SIMEON. This morning, we leave the
hustle and bustle of Los Angeles and head north into the
rolling hills of California’s majestic Central Coast. Here
in the heart of California stands HEARST CASTLE, former
home to newspaper tycoon William Randolph Hearst. During
its heyday, Hearst threw lavish parties inviting only the
“elite” of Hollywood, politics, and sports athletes. Guest
lists included Charlie Chaplin, Gary Cooper, Joan
Crawford, Winston Churchill, Cary Grant, and many more. On
tour, you’ll see Casa Grande, the main house consisting of
38 bedrooms and 41 baths, and the 18-room guest house
known as Casa Del Sol. There’s also time to see the
beautiful gardens, featuring marble sculptures and
seasonal flowers, as well as the magnificent Neptune and
Roman pools. |

SIMEON–CARMEL–MONTEREY–SAN FRANCISCO. Continue
north with a visit to charming Carmel–by-the-Sea, home to

BEACH. MIAMI BEACH EXCURSION. This morning, join
our included excursion to Miami Beach, with its colorful
art deco buildings, and stop at Miami’s lively Bayside
Market. Afterward, return to Hollywood Beach. Since the
rest of the day is at leisure, enjoy the Florida sun while
relaxing by your hotel pool. |
| Day 5
Tue. HOLLYWOOD
BEACH–KEY LARGO–KEY WEST. This morning, it’s south
to the Overseas Highway, crossing 42 bridges through the
Florida Keys to picturesque Key West, the southernmost
town in the continental United States. Our suggestion for
this evening: visit Mallory Square to view the spectacular
sunset and then stroll along Duval Street with its
colorful cafes. |
| Day 6
Wed. KEY WEST.
On this morning’s optional sightseeing tour, sit back and
relax on the open air trolley and view some of Key West’s
most famous sights, including Ernest Hemingway’s home;
Fort Zachary; Southernmost Point, situated less that 90
miles north of Cuba; and the Audubon House and Gardens.
Spend the afternoon beachcombing or visit the many
boutiques and museums. Be sure to sample the delicious
Caribbean cuisine for which this semi-tropical paradise is
so famous. Tonight join the optional cruise outing aboard
the tall ship Western Union while savoring a Key West
sunset. |
| Day 7
Thu. KEY
WEST–EVERGLADES–NAPLES. Head back to the mainland
to the subtropical wilderness of the EVERGLADES. Board
your airboat for a thrilling sightseeing ride through the
extensive swamplands. Sleepy alligators basking on the
banks of the waterways are a common sight. Overnight in
Naples. |
| Day 8
Fri. NAPLES–ST.
PETE BEACH AREA. Before leaving Naples, visit
famous inventor THOMAS EDISON’S WINTER HOME AND
LABORATORY. Then, step through the always-open “Friendship
Gate” to visit HENRY FORD’S WINTER HOME. Don’t miss the
enormous banyan tree in the garden. Tonight, your Tour
Director suggests an optional dinner cruise. |

Sat. ST. PETE
BEACH AREA. A full day to relax at your seaside
hotel in a resort city that offers a fine selection of
warm-weather activities. Your Tour Director will have
suggestions on the best places to shop and dine. |
| Day 10
Sun. ST. PETE
BEACH AREA–ORLANDO. This morning head to the
Orlando International Airport for guests with homebound
flights. (Please schedule flights after 12 noon.) The
coach continues to the Doubletree Lake Buena Vista for
those extending their stay in Orlando.

| Day 1
Thu. HONOLULU.
Aloha and welcome to Hawaii! Upon arrival at
Honolulu International Airport, you will be greeted with a
fresh flower lei and transferred to your hotel in Waikiki.
Your Tour Director will be on hand to assist with

| Day 2
Fri. HONOLULU.
Enjoy a continental breakfast and reception with
your Tour Director. Afterward, a full day at leisure. Your
Tour Director will have suggestions including activities
near world-famous Waikiki Beach, or a full-day optional
outing to the Polynesian Cultural Center on the island’s
north shore where you’ll enjoy a dinner buffet and the
colorful stage show “Horizons.” |
| Day 3
Sat. HONOLULU.
PEARL HARBOR AND CITY TOUR. This morning, your
sightseeing excursion features the sunken USS ARIZONA and
its impressive memorial to the men still entombed there,
Punchbowl National Cemetery, and Honolulu Lookout. Other
sights include bustling Chinatown, Iolani Palace, and
Kamehameha’s Statue. The afternoon, is free for
independent activities. Tonight join the optional sunset
dinner cruise along the shores of Waikiki. |

Sun. HONOLULU.
One last day to enjoy Waikiki, the world’s most
famous beach. Your Tour Director has ideas to make your
day memorable. |
| Day 5
Mon.
HONOLULU–KAUAI. Morning transfer to the Honolulu
airport for the flight to the “Garden Isle” of Kauai. Then
drive along the scenic southern shore via Poipu Beach to
Waimea, once the Polynesian capital of Kauai and the site
where Captain Cook landed on the islands in 1778.
Sightseeing highlights include WAIMEA CANYON, known as the
“Grand Canyon of the Pacific,” the lush and fertile
Hanapepe Valley, and a photo stop at SPOUTING HORN, a
dramatic blowhole on the ocean’s edge. Later, arrive at
your oceanside hotel in Kapaa. Tonight, you’ll attend a
LUAU feast, considered one of Hawaii’s best. After dinner,
sit back and watch a captivating international revue of
dancers and musicians. |
| Day 6
Tue. KAUAI.
This morning, enjoy a unique adventure: cruise up the
Wailua River to a lava rock grotto covered with tropical
fern. At the FERN GROTTO, you will be serenaded by
Hawaiian musicians playing traditional, local songs. Kauai
has a lot to offer, and your Tour Director will suggest
several optional outings for the duration of your stay,
including a trip to Hanalei Bay, the filming location of
many Hollywood movies, such as South Pacific and
The Thornbirds. Other activities include helicopter
flightseeing and snorkeling on the Na Pali coastline.

Wed. KAUAI.
Continue your leisurely stay on Kauai. Relax and
sunbathe at the hotel pool, or take a stroll along the
beach. Kapaa offers an array of shops and boutiques.
Restaurants are numerous and sure to please your palate.
Your Tour Director will have other ideas for things to do
and see. |
| Day 8
Thu. KAUAI–HILO–KONA.
VISIT TO HAWAII VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK. Early this
morning, depart for Hilo and the island of Hawaii. Then,
tour HAWAII VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK. See Kilauea Crater,
rising 4,090 feet above a volcanic wonderland of steaming
fire pits, lava tubes, and fern forests. Arrive in Kona on
the sunny side of the “Big Island” in the late afternoon.

| Day 9
Fri. KONA.
A full day to relax and explore the resort town of Kailua-Kona.
Optional activities include a snorkeling cruise to a coral
reef to view magnificent tropical fish or a helicopter
ride along the Kohala coastline and over the famous Parker
Ranch and an active volcano. For the evening, take an
optional dinner sail, which includes cocktails, live
entertainment, and dancing. |
| Day 10
Sat. KONA–MAUI.
This morning, fly to Maui, the “Valley Island.” On
arrival, sightseeing begins with a visit to the IAO
VALLEY, the “Yosemite of the Pacific,” to view the lao
Needle. Then, through the lush farm country and along the
shoreline via Maalaea Boat Harbor to Lahaina, once a
whaling center and capital of the Hawaiian monarchy. Free
time to explore this colorful town. Then head to your
lovely hotel, situated across the street from the beach in
the resort area of Kihei. |
| Day 11
Sun. MAUI.
A full day at leisure to enjoy Maui’s splendid
beaches or relax by the pool at the hotel. Kihei offers
plenty of boutiques and restaurants. There is a variety of
optional outings including the Road to Hana, one of the
world’s most spectacular scenic drives with its 54 bridges
and many waterfalls. You may want to take in the Maui
Ocean Center, a state-of-the-art aquarium and marine park
that showcases marine life indigenous to the islands. Also
from January to mid-April, whale watching is offered.

Day 12
Mon. MAUI.
HALEAKALA NATIONAL PARK. This morning is dedicated
to HALEAKALA NATIONAL PARK, the volcano known to islanders
as the “House of the Sun,” and its vast Haleakala Crater.
The parkland is located in a setting of stunning natural
beauty, ranging from a landscape of cinder cones to dense
rain forest. Return to Kihei in the early afternoon with
the balance of the day at leisure.

Tue. MAUI.
Transfer to Maui’s airport in Kahului for your homebound
